FERRO ALLOYS
Ferro alloy refers to various alloys of iron with a high proportion of one or more other elements such as manganese, aluminium, or silicon. They are used in the production of steels and alloys.The alloy impart distinctive qualities to steel and cast iron or serve important functions during production and are, therefore, closely associated with the iron and steel industry, the leading consumer of ferroalloys.
MINOR METALS
Minor metals are elemental metals, although a diverse group, minor metals often share three common elements:
- They are not traded on any major exchanges.
- They are primarily mined and extracted as by-products or co-products of base metals or other minor metals.
- Their annual global production is relatively small (compared with base metals).
NOBLE ALLOYS & ORES
Non-ferrous metal is any metal, including alloys, that does not contain iron in appreciable amounts. Generally non-ferrous metals are used because of desirable properties such as low weight , higher conductivity , non-magnetic property or resistance to corrosion
